Little League 10 Commandments
|
1. I shall not criticize the umpire unless ready to assume the duties.
2. I shall not complain about anyone unless I have labored more hours on the Little League program than they have.
3. I shall not be a "grand-stand" manager.
4. I shall remember that only nine/ten team members can play at any one time.
5. I shall not be critical unless willing to put out the necessary effort to correct my concern.
6. I shall set an example of sportsmanship for my child to follow.
7. I shall remember that all managers, coaches,league officials, & concession workers are volunteers.
8. I shall remember that all officers and other league personnel must earn a living and cannot spend all their time on Little League business.
9. I shall offer my services for work whenever possible.
10. I shall encourage my child to follow the Little League Pledge.

Anyone who would like to help with this years Christmas Parade float please contact Dana Murphy at damurphys@aol.com for more information on meeting dates, times, and places. The first meeting will be Tuesday 11/18/08 at 7:00pm
FIELD WORK DAY SATURDAY 11/22/08 A few goals for the day will be:
cleaning donated equipment
disassemble 2 dugouts
seeding
painting trash cans
sealing picnic tables
COMING IN SPRING 2009...... WALKERTOWN LITTLE LEAGUE'S FAMILY WILL BE EXPANDING TO INCLUDE GIRLS SOFTBALL! WE ARE VERY EXCITED ABOUT THIS NEW EDITION TO OUR FAMILY

Walkertown Christmas Parade & Hotdog Cookout
We will again this year be looking for kids who want to ride the parade float. Please stay tuned for more details.
Grass Growing
We are constantly reseeding the common areas for grass. Please help us by remaining off of the roped off areas where new grass has been planted. The more we do now the greener our park will be this Spring.
